Jim Harrelson, founder of La Mescla was performing Friday at the Bisbee Coffee Company Friday, June 5th 12:00-3:00 pm. He teamed up with Ray Enwright on lead classical guitar.
Jim Harrelson was first introduced to Latin music by friends within the exiled Chilean community living in Montreal - His love of music grew as he lived and traveled throughout Mexico, Latin America and Europe.
Some of his major influences include Silvio Rodriguez, Pablo Milanes and Ruben Blades of Panama. Jim’ s unique adaptations of their songs , as well as his own song writing and playing, has won crowds over from Mexico to Arizona and even the streets of Amsterdam. He formed La Mezcla in 2005.
