Bisbee Coffee Company Barista Concoction
Flavio gives us this month’s coffee concoction. Flavio’s fave
is the Double Vanilla Cubano Latte while combines 2 shots
of Espresso raw sugar and cinnamon sandwiched between
19 grams of fresh ground espresso; along with this is 3/4
milk that when steam makes 1/4 foam.
It is the process more than the ingredients that make this
drink possible. Flavio explains:
First we like to layer the bottom of the espresso cup with
raw sugar a dash of cinnamon (not too much!), and then the
rest of the ground espresso.
Then there is 3/4 cup of whole milk, that we steam the
milk till it caramelizes. When the sound of the steamer
grows quiet, that means it is getting foamy. The foamier,
the quicker it will rise in temperature.
Then you let stand for 30 seconds.
Now we blend the ingredients, by first swirling the container
of milk to keep the consistency, then adding to the serving
cup that has the vanilla and espresso, and finally adding
the signature of making a design out of the foam swirl on
top. His favorite is in the shape of a heart.
